Circus Theatricals launches is first co-production in its new home
at The Odyssey Theatre with
THE CHEATS OF SCAPIN
August 14, 1999, 8 P.M. — marks the opening of THE CHEATS of SCAPIN, Moliere's wild and raucous farce about the infamous and lovable scoundrel, Scapin. The wily servant humorously lies, schemes, and spins fantastical tales to fulfill his duties to his love-sick charges, while finagling money and exacting revenge on the misers he serves.
THE CHEATS of SCAPIN is the first co-production between Circus Theatricals and The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Circus Theatricals Artistic Director JACK STEHLIN directs and plays the title role. The translated, by John Ozell (1714) is updated by JACK STEHLIN and JEANNINE WELLES.
THE CHEATS of SCAPIN, directed by Jack Stehlin, produced by Ron Sossi and Jeannine Welles plays Wednesdays thru Saturdays at 8PM, Sundays at 7PM through October 3rd. 2PM Matinees on Sunday August 29, September 12.
