EMILY JAMES (Miami)

Emily James is a graduate of the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC. She is a founding member of the Bridge Theatre Company and has appeared in over a dozen productions in New York. Her theater credits include: Ratface (2005 Fringe Festival),The Lonely Way (Off-Broadway), Women of Manhattan, Rosemary with Ginger, and Blue Window. This is her Los Angeles stage debut.

In addition to her work in the theater, Emily had a recurring role in "STARVED" on FX and had a recent role in "STANDOFF" on FOX.

PATRICK VEST (Raul)

Circus Theatricals credits include: The Misanthrope, Macbeth, The Circle and All My Sons ("Great Scenes from Classic American Plays").

Patrick has performed in over 100 theatrical productions. Among his favorite roles are Macbeth, Mercutio, Prince Hal, and Petruchio. He also wrote and performed a one man show about Henry David Thoreau.

NEIL VIPOND (Henry Hackamore)

With Circus Theatricals: Complexity, Richard III, Hamlet .

This is Neil's third foray into Sam Shepard Country. Having played Weston in Curse of the Starving Class and Dodge in Buried Child, and his Fourth production with Circus Theatricals. He began his career in Canada, performing in over 40 plays in two seasons of stock before joining the first company at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. He was with the festival Theatre for four seasons playing young leading roles under the direction of Tyrone Guthrie and performing with such actors as Alec Guiness, Irene Worth and James Mason. Coming to New York he appeared with Uta Hagen in The Good Woman of Setzuan and gave a performance as Hamlet, The New York Times called "electrifying." Since that time, he has worked on and off Broadway and with many regional theatres. In New York he played James Joyce in Mr Joyce is leaving Paris and Hamm in Endgame, both productions directed by Jim Sheridan. His last appearance in New York before moving to Los Angeles was a Danforth in the Roundabout Theatre production of The Crucible. Last season he returned to New York to appear in David Warren's productoin of Rope and the season before as Grover in Pam Berlin's production of End Papers.

In Los Angeles, he has received numerous awards for performances in a wide range of parts. His many television and film credits include Guest Star appearances on "Will and Grace," "Cold Case" and Meduum."

Derrick McDaniel

DERRICK MCDANIEL (Lights)
With Circus Theatricals: Complexity, Greensward The Misanthrope and Iphigenia in Aulis. Derrick began his acting apprenticeship in 1990 at Theater East in Studio City, CA. This is where he honed the craft of stage lighting. A few of his lighting credits include “The Godfather Workout” for the HBO comedy festival in Aspen; “The Quiet Room” at the Whitefire Theater, “Worse Than Murder” at the Ventura Court Theater, and “Eubie Weller” at the Stella Adler Theater; “Among The Thugs” at the Odyssey Theater- and many others. Derrick was nominated for a 2004 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle award for lighting, in “Among The Thugs”, as well as, a 2005 ADA lighting nomination. He has earned critical acclaim, many times over, for his designs. Derrick would like to thank you for your support of live theater. Enjoy.

TEMPANY DECKERT (Stage Manager)
Tempany Deckert hails from Australia and has been working in the theatre since ten years of age! An accomplished actress, author and playwright, she trained at the Herbert Berghoff Studio, The Stella Adler Academy and The Berg Studio.

Lead roles include: THEATRE: Medea, All This and Allen Too, The Odd Couple, The Crucible, Look Back in Anger, Blood Wedding, Away, Direct from Broadway. TV: All Saints, Home and Away, Neighbours, The Flying Doctors, The Secret Life of Us, The Fame Game.FILM: The Curse of the Talisman, First Daughter, The Incurable Romantic, The Wonder of Living, New Skin.

Tempany’s play, THE TANTY made the top ten of David Williamson’s Young Playwrights Festival at the Sydney Theatre Company, Australia.She is also the author of seventeen books for young adults published by Macmillan and Scholastic. Series include, The Shooting Stars, X-Zone and Kids Bizz.

Tempany is thrilled to be working with the Circus Theatricals team.

JACK STEHLIN (Artistic Director)

Jack founded Circus Theatricals in New York in 1983, and has produced over 40 plays in NYC and Los Angeles. An award-winning actor, Jack has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, and stages around the world. Jack is an alumnus of John Houseman's The Acting Company and a graduate of the Juilliard School. Most recently, he as seen on stage in the Circus Theatricals production of Complexity, and the Los Angeles premiere of Salome with Al Pacino, directed by Estelle Parsons.

As an actor, his Circus Theatricals productions include The Misanthrope, The Circle , Macbeth, Hamlet, Richard III, Tartuffe, True West, The Cheats of Scapin, The Job. Other Los Angeles Theatre:Speed-the-Plow (Los Angeles premiere), and Habitation of Dragons (Zephyr). His extensive notable New York credits include Richard II (dir. Steven Berkoff), Henry V (w/Kevin Kline), Casanova (w/ Ethan Hawke, dir. by Michael Greif), Henry IV, I (w/Mandy Patinkin, dir by Des McAnuff), Julius Caesar (w/ Al Pacino and Martin Sheen),Timon of Athens (dir. by Brian Kulick), Richard Foreman’s Don Juan, and Romeo and Juliet (dir. by Les Waters). TV and film credits include the film "Salomaybe?" (with Al Pacino) and guest star roles on "Weeds," "JAG," (recurring), "Buffy" (recurring ), "Judging Amy," "The Practice," "Crossing Jordan," "NYPD Blue," "ER."

JEANNINE STEHLIN (Managing Director)

Acting credits include: Macbeth, Twelfth Night, The Job, Peer Gynt, Tartuffe, The Misanthrope, Hippolytus, The Stronger, The Art of Success, Women and Wallace and the films, “Watch It,” and “Rancho Cucamonga." Jeannine made her professional debut on the popular children's program, "Romper Room." Sound design credits include: Man.gov, Greensward, Complexity, and The Circle (LA Weekly "Best Sound Design" nomination).

Produced over 40 plays for Circus Theatricals, including Man.Gov, Iphigenia in Aulis, The Misanthrope, Macbeth, Tartuffe, The Cherry Orchard, Richard III, Hamlet and The Cheats of Scapin, The Circle and the award-winning The Job by Shem Bitterman (LA and Off-Broadway). Sound design credits include Circus Theatricals 7th Annual Festival of One Act Plays (now playing), and The Circle (LA Weekly "Best Sound Design" nomination).

Jeannine holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Illinois, and an M.B.A. in Marketing from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
